To solve the problem of wireless data transmission from cameras installed in the house to the video server, it is necessary to use IP cameras with a WIFI communication module. Six wireless WIFI cameras are installed in rooms inside the house. Nine cameras are installed around the perimeter of the facade. The house uses cameras with a resolution of 1 MP. All cameras are installed inside the room and have compact dimensions that do not spoil the appearance and design of the house. A UTP CAT 5 E cable was chosen to transmit the video signal from the facade cameras to the video recorder. A PoE Switch was used to power the cameras and transfer data from them to the server. A video server with the possibility of disk space expansion was chosen as the recording device. The recording and playback quality of the video server is selected for maximum use of the technical resources of the cameras. The selected cameras are supported by all well-known manufacturers of software products focused on working with IP video surveillance, so if necessary, the basic software installed on the server to save money can be improved with any more productive and functional one. To save disk space, all cameras installed in the house were configured to record only on motion. Thanks to the high resolution of the cameras installed on the facade, the owner of the system will be able to easily see the license plates of passing cars, if the need arises.
