How to tell if your computer is infected with a virus?

If you agree with at least one of the following statements, your computer is infected with a virus.

Your computer is too slow.A common consequence of virus activity is a significant slowdown of computer performance. However, there may be other reasons for slow performance, such as a hard drive that needs to be defragmented, low computer RAM, or the presence of spyware or adware. Showing unexpected messages or programs that start automatically.

Modem or hard drive is overloaded. An email virus sends many copies of itself in email messages. If the work indicator on the high-speed or external modem is constantly lit, or you hear another sound of the hard disk constantly working, these may be signs of virus activity. This does not always indicate the presence of a computer virus, but in combination with other problems, it can indicate that the PC is infected.
